Crisis Respite — In-Home or Out-of-Home

In-home or out-of-home crisis respite is an intervention support service under Minnesota Statutes 245D.03, subdivision 1(c), and is defined under the BI, CADI, CAC, and DD waiver plans. When a behavioral or medical crisis puts a person's safety or housing at risk, crisis respite provides temporary, higher-intensity supervision and support — in the person's home or in an approved out-of-home setting — while the team stabilizes the situation and updates the plan.
