Individualized Home Supports (without training)

Day-to-day assistance and supervision in the person's own home and community.

Individualized Home Supports (without training)

Individualized home supports without training is a basic support service under Minnesota Statutes 245D.03 and is defined under the BI, CAC, CADI, and DD waiver plans. Staff provide the assistance, supervision, and cueing a person needs to manage their household and take part in community life. Because this is a basic support service, the focus is on doing daily life with the person and keeping them safe — not on teaching or habilitation. When skill-building is the goal, individualized home supports with training is the correct service.
